So many people helped, so many people came, so many people donated generously.

We are very grateful to, and proud of, this Tenney Lapham neighborhood.

With the money raised at the Party in the Park, we will pay for the treatment of all four ash trees in Reynolds Park.

And we will donate $1,000 to Lapham Elementary School.

We had so much fun, and it feels so good to have raised so much money for good causes, we have already started talking about next year...

Summertime on the Isthmus

Is it really mid July already!?!? Wild. Even though the days are long, there is just never enough of the summer birdsong through open windows in the mornings and picnic dinners in the park that last til dusk.

We are so good at creating awesome excuses to gather and hang out in Madison, there is pretty much some way to celebrate every weekend, just right here in the Tenney Lapham neighborhood!

This summer, there are some new things, like the Summer Concert Series at Burr Jones Field, MadCity Bazaar, and Let's Eat Out carts at the East Side Farmers Market. And a very unique neighborhood treat, the North American Unicycling Convention and Championships July 25-August 1.

Then there are the newish things, like Foshizzle Fridays at James Madison Park, YumYum Fest, and loads of music, sports, and festivals at Breese Stevens

Of course, we have regular visits from the Art Cart at Tenney Beach, the Fools Flotilla on the Yahara River, the Fete de Marquette, and the TLNA Tour des Coups et Jardins, Art Walk, and Yard Sale

It's a very full social calendar, right?

So where does the Party in the Park fit in? And the Friday Evening Picnics at Reynolds (5PM, all are welcome!)? Are we getting too busy around here?

These are questions we are asking ourselves, as the Friends of Reynolds Park. If you have ideas or want to get involved, we would love to hear from you. Find us on Facebook and follow along her, on BetweenTwoLakes.com.
